So I was asked forever ago to post the pattern I used for the Dovahkiin helmet I made. Well being the silly person I am I had made the first one on the fly and didn’t write down what I did. I just spent way to long writing out a usable pattern and I just want to say, no I didn’t forget, I just went a little slow. I can show you guys soon what I’ve been working on that took me away for so long (cross stitch is very time consuming) and I hope this patten will make you guys at least a little happier with me.

I used Red Heart super saver yarn in grey and something called “impeccable” in cream. I used a size “F” (3.75mm) hook. You also need a pipe cleaner for in the horns to curve them

Row 1: 6 sc in MC (6)

Row 2: inc around (12)

Row 3: sc, inc* repeat (18)

Row 4: 2 sc, inc* repeat (24)

Row 5: 3 sc, inc* repeat (30)

Row 6: 4 sc, inc* repeat (36)

Row 7: 5 sc, inc* repeat (42)

Row 8: 6 sc, inc* repeat (48)

Row 9-13: sc around (48)

Row 14: 14 sc, 1 hdc, 1dc, ch 4, skip 4 sc (this makes the eye hole), 7 dc, ch 4, skip 4 sc, 1dc, 1hdc, sc to end of row (48)

Row 15: 13 sc, *1 hdc, 2 dc, 3 htc, 1 tc, 1 dc, 1 hdc*, 3 sc repeat the * section backwards, sc to end of row (48)

Row 16: 12 sc, *1 hdc, 3 dc, 2 htc, in same stitch do 1 htc and 2 tc, next stitch 1 dc, 1 hdc*, 5SC, *section backwards, sc to end of row (52)

Row 17: 13 sc, ch 3 turn. dc across to other corner. (27 dc)

Row 18: ch 3 turn, dc across (27)

Finish off, weave in ends

Ch 19, close loop with a slst

Row 1-3: sc around (19)

Fasten off, leave long end to sew

Finishing: Sew grey bars to helmet using picture for reference. Sew grey band to horn at bottom so it covers one row of cream color. cut a length of pipe cleaner to the length of horn. Put pipe cleaner in horn and stuff horn. Sew grey band to helmet.

I’m sorry for not posting lately T.T I have to get everything together for college and transferring seems to be harder than just getting in as a freshman, so much stuff to send and resend!!!

Anyway, I have been working on writing up a pattern for the iron helmet I made for the dovahkiin so hopefully I will be able to post that soon :) It will be the first pattern I will share and it will be free! WOOOO hahaha.

Since I don’t have pictures right now of my WIPs I share with you a picture of a mermaid I made a while back, I guess a year ago now. I’m thinking of making some to sell in my shop, what do you guys think?

My boyfriend’s graduation happened recently and I had decided to crochet his graduation gift. After waaaaaay too many failed ideas, I decided to make something from the popular game, Skyrim. I ended up making not only a Dovahkiin doll, but also a dragon doll.

The Dovahkiin’s body is fully crocheted from a pattern here and I designed his outfit from felt and a couple crocheted pieces.

The dragon is an original design by me because after looking online for ages I didn’t find anything that quite fit with my Dovahkiin and I wanted the two to work together. Not only did I design and then redesign the body, but I nearly forgot how I made the first foot when making the second! -.- But as you can see I managed to get something that I ended up really liking. I almost didn’t give it to my boyfriend! hahaha

Anyway, I hope you guys like them, I will put up a couple other views/close ups soon.
